WHAT STEPS SHOULD I FOLLOW FOR ME TO APPLY FOR A RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL, INDUSTRIAL OR INDUSTRIAL STAND?
Obtain application form UL9 from revenue clerk
Complete form and attach copies of National ID and Proof of Capital
Forms are submitted to the revenue clerk and sent to the Land Management Committee.
Land Management Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the CEO
CEO app roves/ reviews recommendations
Planning Department issues offer letters and conditions of establishment.
You pay a deposit fee
You pay instalments.
You produce building plans.
Plans are approved
Lease agreement signed.
You begin construction.
Roads and works Department conducts building inspections
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO FOR ME TO GET MY LEASE EXTENDED OR ALTERED?
Obtain application form UL 2 or CL E1 from revenue clerk
Complete form and attach copies of National ID, and Lease Agreement.
Forms are submitted to the revenue clerk and sent to the Land Management Committee.
Land Management Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the CEO
CEO approves/ reviews recommendations
Extension/alteration addendum affixed to original lease agreement
Revenue updates database.
HOW DO I ACQUIRE A DEVELOPMENT PERMIT?
Obtain application form TPD1 from revenue clerk
Complete form and attach copies of Title Deeds, Site Development Plan, Preliminary Working Drawings and Narrative Proposal/report
Forms are submitted to the revenue clerk and sent to the Planning Department
Planning Drafts statutory advert and sends it to the Herald at your cost. (30 Days)
Objections/representations are received
Land Management Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the CEO
CEO approves/ reviews recommendations
CEO issues/denies Development Permit
Final working drawings produced and approved.
Building permit issued
You begin construction.
Roads and works conducts building inspections.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A NEW SHOP LICENCE? WHAT IS THE PROCESS INVOLVED?
Obtain application form S.L. 3 from revenue clerk
Complete form and attach copies of National ID, approved plans and health inspector’s report.
Forms are submitted to the revenue clerk and sent to the Land Management Committee
Land Management Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the CEO
CEO approves/ reviews recommendations
You pay licence fees
Revenue clerk issues new licence.
You affix licence on premises and begins trading.

You pay licence fees

HOW DO I GET MY PLAN APPROVED, WHAT IS THE PROCESS INVOLVED?
Submit Plans to the Planning Department
Planning Department computes and endorses total architectural area at the back of one copy
The Revenue clerk computes examination fees and records plan at the back of the same
You pay Plan approval fees
The Revenue clerk records plan and sends it to the Plan Examination Committee
Plan Examination Committee approves or reviews plans and sends them back to revenue clerk
Building permit issued
You are invited to collect your approved plans
You begin construction.
Roads and works Department conducts building inspections.
